Hello! My name is Emilie Jones. I like my name but I've been called "Emile" more times than I can count. I grew up in rural South Carolina (or as my kids say, "South Dakota.") I went to undergrad in the ATL at Agnes Scott College where I studied Theatre, English Lit and Creative Writing. After college, I worked as a math and literacy tutor at a learning center in my hometown. Then, I worked as a (really) long time sub teaching 9th through 11th grade English and Theatre. I enjoyed my time in SC, but I am really thrilled to be in NYC teaching at CIS 303 in the Bronx. I currently teach 7th grade ELA in an ESL classroom. I love theatre of all kinds! One of my highlights of this school year was being able to take a group of 7th graders to see a Broadway show ("Bye, Bye Birdie").
